Event Details:

On Saturday, February 28 at 5pm the Yamawaki Art and Cultural Center at Lasell University in Newton will host Warmth & Solidarity Concert, a charity event bringing together artists, medical professionals, and volunteers to move emergency aid quickly to civilians in Ukraine.
~
Held on the fourth anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion, the event responds to a worsening humanitarian crisis caused by continued attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure during an unusually harsh winter. With subzero temperatures and widespread power outages, many families in Kyiv are left without heat or electricity.
~
The evening features Vadim Neselovskyi, the internationally acclaimed Ukrainian pianist and composer, who is donating his performance while traveling between concerts in Vienna and New York, where he will present his new album PERSEVERANTIA. His work has been recognized by NPR, PBS NewsHour, The Boston Globe, and The New York Times.

Dr. Ron Hirshberg (Home Base / Mass General Brigham), a participant in the “Invisible Wounds of Ukraine” initiative and the producer of the documentary Standing Up Against the Sky, will present his film about a ballet dancer who went to the front in the first days of the large-scale aggression against Ukraine. The film features music from the new album PERSEVERANTIA.
Admission is free — PAY WHAT YOU CAN.
~
Can’t attend - donate what you can!
All donors who give $100 or more will receive Vadim Neselovskyi’s new album signed by the artist.
